The Guild has juried in three new artist members in April 2022. We will highlight each one over the next week. The first artist we would like to present is Nancy Young.
Nancy Young’s business name reflects her artistic path in fused glass: Nancy's Adventures in Glass. She took classes at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock for three semesters until the pandemic intervened. “I taught myself to use heat to bend glass stringers and ribbons to make curved lines. My favorite pieces are generally nature-related with lots of small details. I love fused glass!” The objects she makes are suncatchers, larger decorated serving pieces, and art hangings for the wall or art stand.
Her work is now available at the Arkansas Craft Guild Gallery in Mountain View.
