Our final new Guild member from our April 2022 jury period is Carol Corning.
Carol Corning’s framed collages are made from 60’s era dress patterns and fabric. Inspired by her mother’s quilting and sewing, she explains, “Most of my work involves storytelling to connect my audience emotionally with another era. I am drawn to color and light and my work is constantly changing as I experiment with found objects.” She has a BA in Fine Art from UCA in 2003. Previously she owned and operated an art gallery in Clinton from 2005-2013 and taught art at the Clinton school district from 2010 to 2019.
