Sharon's current project is a request from a customer who wanted a rug made with particular size and colors in mind; she wanted it to match the decor in her laundry room. When finished, the oval rug will measure 6' x 4' and will have 10 different colors used in a random pattern. The biggest challenge working in a random pattern vs. using the same color for several rounds is making sure the colors are balanced. UPDATE May 15, 2023. I finally finished the rug I started in March, and delivered it to customer during the Iris Festival. The length was a perfect 6 feet, the width maybe 2 inches shy of 4 feet; it's hard to get the measurements exactly right, so I was well pleased with this one.
I used ten different fabrics and used right at 38 yards of material! The customer loved it! I can make just about any shape rug (round, square, rectangle, hexagon, heart). Give me a call at 870-805-8531 and we can come up with a design.
