Phil Milan of Harrison, Arkansas is a multi-talented artist whose favorite mediums include woodworking, sculpture, pen and ink drawing and wheel-thrown pottery. He particularly enjoys making raku pottery, a method of firing first developed in Japan. He recently retired as the art teacher for Harrison High School in Harrison, Arkansas. Although he was born in South Louisiana, he spent his childhood in West Texas and his teenage years in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He returned to Louisiana for college, graduating from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. Phil loves the beauty of the Ozarks and enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, canoeing, biking and creating art.
