David Peterson, Greenbrier, taught mathematics until his retirement in 2009 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He plays and makes lap and hammered dulcimers, wooden puzzles and whirligigs, and teaches dulcimer at home. He and Donna dance and teach folk dancing. At one time, the Petersons and their sons performed on weekends at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. In 2010, David was honored to receive the Judges’ Special Recognition Award given by Gov. Mike Beebe and the Arkansas Arts Council.
