I was raised in the country and have always had a love of nature. Most of my life I have been too busy with work and raising a family to pursue this love. Now, I have the freedom to do as I please. I go to my shop and form God’s handy work into the form of my choosing. I have not found an ugly piece of wood yet! I love to see the grain come out as I turn them. To me, the forms are secondary to the beauty of the wood, but both work together to made the piece. Each piece I turn leads to the next, and each piece of wood and tree presents a new opportunity to learn and grow in my ability as a turner.
