Jones, Carole T.

Carole T. Jones, watercolorist, grew up in the horse country of Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. Her love for all animals and an ability to draw inspired her to attend The Art Students League in New York City. Here, she was able to study illustration with Earl Mayan (Saturday Evening Post) and Steven Kidd (New York Daily News). She also studied anatomy with Robert Hale. Later she furthered her education in England at Sir John Cass College, studying drawing, painting, and illustration. She continued her study of anatomy at the Royal Academy. Upon returning to the US from Europe, Carole was noticed by Mrs. Charles Shipman Payson, who had just put together the Country Art Gallery in her home town of Locust Valley, NY. Here, Carole’s work grew in popularity.
To date, Carole has paintings all over the world and her works of art can be found in the homes of numerous discriminating collectors. Carole is now expanding into a line of greeting cards and has many other exciting projects in the works.
