Jann Greenland is easily distracted by shiny objects, which explains her preoccupation with bits of metal, pretty rocks and colored glass. She combines these tidbits into jewelry and other items that strike a balance between whimsical and wearable and functional. She loves a good found object and is always looking for opportunities to upcycle or recycle otherwise discarded resources. She enjoys melting things and often includes fused glass elements in her work. A notable project involved fusing hundreds of custom glass tiles for a bathroom remodel. A resident of Little Rock for over 40 years, her studio is in the historic Hillcrest neighborhood. She has taught basic metalwork classes and workshops at the former Arkansas Arts Center.
