Young, Jim & Sarah

Jim is an award-winning potter and a member of the Arkansas Craft Guild. His work is influenced by travels in Europe, Latin America and Asia as well as his beloved Ozark mountains. His personal pleasure is sharing the beauty of the Ozarks through pottery whose flowing shapes and earth tones are enhanced by subtle combinations of glazes containing many native materials. Jim holds a Masters Degree in Art Therapy and has been a potter for over 45 years. His functional high fire stoneware is designed for everyday use in ovens, microwaves and dishwashers. All pieces are one-of-a-kind. Glazes are formulated by Jim and are safe for all uses. Properly cared for, this is lifetime pottery. His pottery is available for purchase at the Iris at the Basin Gallery in Eureka Springs, Poor Richards Art in Rogers, and the Museum Store at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.
