Sawyer, Dona

Dona Sawyer is the resident stained glass artist at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, has taught various classes at the OFC and attended all but the first Folk School, where she learned the stained glass craft. Her shop there features a continuous glass mosaic table top featuring Turkey Creek. Dona says she has been doing some kind of arts and crafts with her family since she was a little girl. Her move to Mountain View several years ago, along with her peaceful home in the country, inspires her artwork. Her businesses include Turkey Creek Marketing, LLC, for internet marketing, Make Your Own Stained Glass, and Turkey Creek Creations. She studied Craft Entrepreneurship at Ozarka College. She’s from Gainesville, Florida, and attended Auburn University. She makes earrings, shawl pins, buttons, as well as custom stained glass panels.
