Mike Harrison and his wife Melody became interested in fusing glass after seeing dichronic jewelry pieces at craft shows. I decided that fusing glass would be a creative and interesting hobby that the two of us could enjoy together. We worked with a local artist to learn about the tools needed and how to work to use them. After a few short “lessons” I purchased my first kiln, along with the other necessary items to begin the craft of fusing. Fusing dichronic and other kinds of glass is an art we enjoy creating together. I am currently fusing dichronic, opague, and clear/transparent glass into pendants and earrings. Jewelry pieces are either wire-wrapped or “bailed.”
