Marcia Griffin Pendant 5

Dichronic glass with ultra-thin layers of gold, silver, titanium, chromium, aluminum, zirconium, magnesium, and silicon oxides is the medium of choice for jeweler Marcia Griffin of Paron. She carefully selects and cuts pieces of this high-tech glass, originally developed by NASA, then carefully shapes and layers the glass into desired forms. Under high heat, the glass fuses into a single piece. Marcia’s ability to envision the combination of colors and properties of the glass to reflect and refract light allows her to capture the brilliance of different hues. She creates glistening earrings and pendants with depth, a broad spectrum of colors and textures, and magical iridescence.
