Statement:
My photographs are less about place than about mood, the act of contemplation, and how the natural objects I shoot are related. I emphasize color and composition to tell the story between tree and leaf, rock and water, and Earth and man. By choosing details of nature, often things that go unnoticed, I allow man's connections to be revealed in the minutia of nature.
I practice straight photography. My photographs look like photographs and are not imitations of other art forms. The perception of reality is intact, yet the photograph is a departure from reality: it is reality processed, distilled and bottled by the photographer.
I strive for a high quality of printing, archival stability and simplicity in all aspects of display. The work will easily last a lifetime. I hope my photographs become a part of your collection.
