Media: Hand formed ceramics using Raku glazes. The feel and texture of the clay and the joy of creating something from the shapeless mass is magical to me. Today, I work exclusively in “Western Style Raku” pottery. It is a fusion of the ancient Japanese art form and the recent Americanization of the process.
Process/ production methods: I combine forming techniques that include wheel thrown, slab, extrusion and hand pulling elements to create my forms.
